Anyone have any advice on how on earth do I stop it from coming back? Using Albon to treat but it clears up an then comes back again. Vet said spores can stick around in the home and reinfect them. So what do I do??

Coccidia are hard to kill, but I just did a quick search and some articles say they can't live more than a week without a host (your kitty); some say the spores can live over a year. :headscratch:

Coccidia eggs are not infectious until they form spores hours or days after leaving the cat, so the cat is shedding eggs in its feces. Perhaps you may need to quarantine your cat to an easy-to-clean room like your bathroom or a kennel in your kitchen for a few days while deep cleaning everything else in the home. Keep the cat box really, really clean. I would rotate two cat boxes: one that has been disinfected and the one in use. I also read that steam, or a flamethrower (seriously!), are about the only way to kill all of them.
