OH MY GOODNESS, mani
This was adorable to watch - what a smart, YES CLEVER, cute dog. Such a helper. I could have used him a couple years back when I left my nice jacket on the plane. :lol3: So cute in his nap sack too. Thanks for sharing.
Very smart dog! On my last flight back from the States, I sat next to a Texan who trains the Beagles used as "food sniffing dogs" at U.S. airports. They have an incredible sense of smell and are very congenial.
When I was 2 y/o we went to visit my grandparents. My parents say that I loved their dog so much that I threw a fit when it was time to go home. So my Dad bought me a beagle Puppy. We named her Scoshi. When she grew up my mom opened the back door to find another beagle mating Scoshi. We had no idea were this beagle came from. Scoshi had 9 beagle pups. We kept one and named her Samantha after Samantha Stevens on Bewitched a popular show at the time and our last name is Stevens. We made sure all the pups got good homes. 3 or 4 of them went to good friends and relatives so we were able to see them for the rest of their lives. Sammy and Scoshi were very close always sleeping together in front of the fireplace.
My mother's childhood dog was a Beagle. He was always into trouble from the stories I've heard. My Grandparents had to rescue him from the pound more than once. But that dog was smart. He used to wait at the corner for my mother every day after school. I have his Christmas stocking. When I was 2 my mother adopted our first cat; Tinsel. Mom turned the stocking over and put Tinsel's name on the other side. I like to still hang that one up. It keeps them part of our memories.
