The claws on my 17 year old's back right paw are always extended, but she is able to retract the claws on her back left paw (she's front declawed). Anyone had this happen with their cat? Another thing is that, when I touch the back left paw, she jerks it immediately out of my reach, but when I touch the back right paw (with the extended claws), she growls and only slightly moves the paw. She walks normally (well, as normally as a vision-impaired, arthritic cat can walk) on both paws; she doesn't limp or anything. I'm going to ask the vet about it, but has anyone else's kitty had this happen?
