We just got back from Cindy's surgery. One of the best sights I've ever seen was her surgeon coming to talk to us with a big smile and both thumbs up
He successfully removed the entire mass. Had to take a bit of her colon to get it all, but supposedly that won't be a huge issue. He also took a bit of her liver to biopsy. I don't know when we will get the results, but he was very confident that that we could start treatment for it. It does look like lymphoma, it's just what kind I guess to know what treatment would be best.
We got to see her for a few minutes before we left, and it just broke my heart seeing her like that, she was laying there shivvering. They had her all wrapped up and I could feel warm air, but I don't know if she was shivvering because she was cold or because she was scared. She's so - I can't think of the word I want - sensitive to things and gets scared so easily. But I believe she's in good hands and we are going to fight to beat this thing.
I want to thank everyone who has been sending vibes and prayers and supporting me through this journey. I know it's not over, but I feel we have a little reprieve to catch our breath and see where we go from here. I'm looking forward to bringing her back home, probably on Sunday.
