Anyone use a dental rinse made from chlorhexidine on a regular basis? My vet gave me some of this after my cat's dental surgery and it did wonders for cleaning her teeth and gums. It was with prescription though and the vet only prescribed it for short term use. I'm wondering if anyone uses it for long-term use and what your experience is?

I saw some being sold online and am considering getting a bottle.

Edit: Sorry, meant to post this in the general cat care forum.

I have some that I got from Chewy. My cats absolutely hate it. Evie threw up when I gave it to her, but I believe that's because I tried to squirt it in her mouth vs. wetting a cloth and rubbing it on her gums...

Ah, which brand did you buy? I was using a qtip to rub it on the teeth and gums.
