and geese and turkeys!
My new place is situated on a creek and apparently in a "fly zone." I am within walking distance of our local Reservoir, home to Canada Geese (yes, for all Canadians, I do know that they are Canada geese, not Canadian geese) who now serenade me twice a day.
Then there are the wild turkeys. This is not to be confused with Wild Turkey the booze but the ones that you roast on Thanksgiving. They seem to like the creek and made this their home. Actually, wild turkeys are taking over the county where I live. We can't shoot them here and they seem to multiply. And squack early in the morning.
So, being not a morning person,
I suggested to Butzie that she might like a turkey dinner that she could catch and I could cook. She looked at me, in that way that only cats can do, and her eyes said,
WHAT ARE YOU NUTS?!
