This is my DMH Charlotte, she's 2 years old and very friendly.
I use to be on this site as a foster feline parent, but then adopted one of my fosters. Charlotte was in my care for 2 months with her 3 kittens, she was a wonderful and a very attentive mom, i knew there was something very special about her when she would gather up all her babies and come over by my feet and nurse them, as well my daughter would come over and visit with her dog and Charlotte didn't mind that the dog was running around with her kittens, in fact Charlotte would go up to the dog and sniff her face. When mom and kittens went back to the shelter to be fixed it was noted that Charlotte's mammory glands were too swollen for her to be spayed, so she came back to my home for more fostering. During the next 2 weeks my husband and i fell in love with her, but as the fostering policy stated foster volunteers were not allowed to adopt their fosters, so when she was better i had to return her for good. After her spay i saw on the shelters website that she went to a pet store that adopts out shelter cats and of course i had to go see her. My son and daughter in-law came with me, i just wanted to see her one last time. When i arrived at the pet store, Charlotte was up on a very tall cat tree grooming herself and i couldn't reach her because of all the climbers and pet beds around her, so all i could do was to call her name with open arms. I called her name, she stopped grooming herself looked at me and climbed down off the cat tree and came right over to my open arms, slow blinking at me. That was it i adopted her and once the shelter found out i adopted her i got a warning not to ever do something like that again. I have since then stopped fostering and have decided to take care of my Charlotte. Since adopting her we found out that she has ear problems, that had gone undetected by the shelter. She's on a special diet and i will need to flush out her ears 1 or 2 times a week, ( not sure for how long), she might over time lose her hearing in one ear. The end!! lol!
