Changing Colors

My cat Nora is 15ish and slowly turning red. She lays with her whole body in the sun but not more often then other cats I have had. Is this just some aging change or is she "bleaching" in the sun? Notice her head is still jet black, just her body is red. Isn't she cuuuuute?

After some googling it seems tyrosine deficiency is from lack of protein? Is that the only way they can have a deficiency? She has always been on high protein diets not to mention she has hunted various rodents and birds her entire life up until a year or so ago. A year ago I moved to a busy area and due to her age I keep her in but she eats a variety of low carb/high protein and raw food. Also in perfect health, blood work has always been great and she had a dental and only needed a fang pulled bc it was chipped. So she is the healthiest cat I have ever had.

Dead fur turns brown, try giving her a good brushing. Although she's a lot more brown than you would expect from just dead fur. . .but give it a try anyway.
