Hello

I am wondering what is up with cats tails, what are they telling us?

We all see cats walking like this right?

What does it mean when a cat walks with his/her tail in the air? What about their tails between their legs?

I know if a cat wags their tail gently they are pleased but if wag their tail loads then they are not happy.

What do you know about cat tails?

Either that, or she is scared.  I notice my Stinkpot tucks his tail between his legs when he gets scared.  Otherwise, it's like  fluffy flagpole...straight up in the air

I know the pictured tail means happy and contented. Tail down and especially between the legs means scared or unsure. Up and waving side to side means happy and loving. The one I love the best is straight up and as full as a fuller brush when they are running and being happy!

Hmmm, if I'm reading that correctly. Missy spends most of her time in a relaxed/contented state. She walks around with her tail mostly hanging down and curved out away from her gently with a little tip flicking. When she gets me to open doors for her, her tail will go upright for a while.

Peeps spends a lot more time with her tail in the air.
