I was at a birthday party for a friend of mine today, and at her invitation, I held her ~ 6 month old baby for a little while. I don't have kids and can't remember the last time I held someone's baby.

On returning home, three of my four cats sniffed me very, very carefully where I'd held the baby and where he'd grabbed at my sweater with his hands. They pushed their noses into my sweater and did the deep-inhaling thing with their mouths open.

Has anyone else ever seen a cat react this way to the smell of a human baby?

Oh... this is so special. I don't have babies and I'm not in contact with them so I have never notice this kind of reaction in cats. Maybe they where surprised to smell the scent of somebody else in you.
