Cats At Work Controlling Rats

Chicago is the rattiest city in the country. One animal rescue has a "cats at work" program, adopting out feral cats to control the problem. Three cats for about $600 and right now there is a 30 day wait.

That’s quite interesting! I would be afraid of the dangers that come from roads, but I feel as if this gives the cats a purpose, and hopefully are being cared for, fed, and watched for injuries/illness, but still given that freedom in that feral environment.

I do worry about cats who are taken from their original environment, and I hope that these cats are spayed/neutered before set out for “adoption”
