My hubby has anxiety about giving our cats catnip. He's so cute with his overprotectiveness!! Are there any bad effects that can happen from catnip? Is it 100% safe? I think it is, but he is convinced that it is bad for them. Thanks in advance!

It can in some cats cause aggression because it over stimulates them, and in other cats it doesn't even affect them. It depends on the cat and the body chemistry.

I grow catnip for my cats. They both love it. If I go out on the porch, they hang out in the nearest window, cause they know I usually pick some and give it to them. They both roll in it and then they crash out. The cat I used to have would get hyper, but never aggressive. A small dose at first is best.
