Good morning wonderful internet people and cat enthusiasts!
I hope all is well with you, whoever you are! A kitten my partner Alex and I were fostering (named Jimmy Stewart) developed cataracts and the vet says he will likely go blind within a year. His potential owners decided they didn't want him because of his disability, but he's such a sweetie we're happy to keep him forever! Their loss :-)
We are trying to raise money to pay for his surgery to remove his cataracts and restore his vision. We know kitties can live happy lives even if they are blind, but as we will be likely be moving around over the next few years as we get our lives settled we believe he will be much happier if he can see all his new environments. Cataract surgery has over a 95% success rate in cats and we really hope we will be able to provide him with this surgery.
We sincerely appreciate any gift you can contribute, even a dollar. We know you have many charities you can choose from, and we are deeply grateful for any consideration. We would also greatly appreciate it if you could forward our message.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. I understand if you are skeptical about donating money to a stranger, so feel free to email me with questions and I will definitely get back to you very quickly!
Thank you so much,
Beth Diesch
