Hi, my name is Paula and I am new. I am having problems with my cat Sasquatch. This month, we've been seeing the vet a lot. On July 1st (Tuesday), Sasquatch had a bit of runny stool so I took her to the vet. The vet put her on metronidazole for 5 days + forti flora and gave her a subQ fluid, it helped. On the 17th (Thursday), she had diarrhea and her stool had green mucus in it, so I took her back to the vet. They didn't put her on any meds, but they gave her a another subQ fluid then they ran a blood test, fecal, giardia and urine analysis and they all came out negative. Then on the 19th (Saturday), she was vomiting green mucus. Her regular vet is closed on the weekend so I took her to an Emergency Clinic, they gave her an injection of 3 antibiotics, subQ fluids and put her on metronidazole for 10 days and told me to put her on a boiled chicken diet but my cat got sick of eating it, so I gave her some some raw duck which she loves (Nature's Variety Raw Bites). Then on the 24th (Thursday), her stool has been formed, but has blood. So I called the vet and at this point they recommended to see an internist and do an ultrasound which we did yesterday and it said that she has mucosal thickening. Now the suggested game plan is for me to stop feeding my cat raw and just feed her tilapia, but her on metronidazole (Flagyl) for an additional 14 days + Enrofloxacin (Baytril) for 30 days, continue forti-flora and Pepcid if nausea continues which she doesn't have right now. She used to eat Rad-Cat chicken and Turkey, and I also alternate some Nature's Variety Raw Duck Bites which she scarfs down.
