For a while now I have had a problem with Brandy who suddenly started urinating everywhere. The vet cannot find anything wrong with him and it may be age - hes unsure. I feel its his kidneys as he drinks a lot (the cat - not the vet) but the vet says all okay.
Anyway, I needed to have the complete lounge cleaned the other week so I did it all. Had the carpets cleaned and for a day or so - it seemed like a breath of air had come in the house.
Then I caught him next to a wall.
I have the secret now to stopping this problem. Its a six and two threes solution but it works.
Take a T bag - you do drink tea?? I have to I am a Yorkshireman. Then once used and its cooled, pour a few drops of OLBAS OIL on it. Olbas oil is a herbal remedy ideal for colds and completely natural. Health food shops as well as pharmacies sell it here and its cheap enough.
Then place the T bag with this smelling stuff on a small food bag and place it in the vicinity of where the cat has been urinating.
They hate the smell and hes given it a wide berth ever since - gone back to the litter tray which is great.
Its solved my problem without the need for chemicals etc which I am all for. The even better part is that the house smells of olbas oil and I am breathing a lot easier too.
Its cheap and may help some of you.
Best wishes
