Hi everyone,
I have 5 cats that live outside the house, unfortunately they're not vaccinated nor spayed.
Anyways one of the male cats named Antar went missing for 2 days straight. They never leave and I feed them up to 5 times a day. He came back moving very slowly, blood on his face and mostly on his nose, drooling heavily and goop coming out of his eyes. My sister and I thought that he was in a fight.
He came and only drank water. It was 1:00 am so I couldn't take him to any vet so I gave him more water, children antibiotics, olive oil (in case he was poisoned) and even chicken broth all with a big needle.
The next day i took him to the only vet available since it was a Saturday and there was no one else. The vet is specialized in horses and sheep so his clinic was uncanny, he looked at my cat and told me that he has a very strong virus. He also said that Antar could have died. He injected him with an antibiotic and told me to feed him yogurt and minerals so he does not get dehydrated.
At this point Antar had not peed once since he came back. He peed late at night after our visit to the vet. The vet said Antar needs two more injections and might not eat for a whole week.
Some people told me that the vet was not so good but Antar got better the next day, no more drooling or goopy eyes. He took another injection today and peed three times but has not eaten anything yet.
I can only feed him yogurt and minerals with a huge syringe.
He looks much better now but his nose is still clogged. And whenever i try to wipe his nose i find little drops of blood (much lesser than when he came). Today he acted like he wants food but he only sniffed it and licked some chicken broth.
After reading a lot of these forums now i am worried he has something else.
So if this is familiar with anyone I need more help. What should I do with his clogged nose? And how can I make the drops of blood stop?
Sorry for the long post but I would hate myself if something worse happened to Antar.
Thank you.
