My cat Chloe (8yrs, good health) started throwing up white foam (tablespoon amount) yesterday. I thought it was just a hairball, but no hairball, and she continued throwing up about a dozen times through the night. We took her to emergency Vet at 7am, and they checked her all over, did complete bloodwork, said she looked okay. Vet thought she might have ingested something bad, and it was working through her. Vet gave her a shot to settle her stomach, and a shot of "Fluid" (chloe has like a camel hump now) because Vet thought she was dehydrated (bloodwork showed her Potasseum very low, probably from vomiting). Said to withhold food and water for 12 hours then start on bland diet. Chloe was all worked up about going to the Vet - VERY stressed - howling in the car. She is now alert and awake, just very quiet, not moving much and sitting in her comfy spot. No vomit since the shot.
Does what the Vet did make good sense to anyone/everyone? Should I take her to our family vet next week, or just let this ride out? THANKS for any help -- as you can probably tell, she is our "Baby".
