We're trying to figure out what's going on with our two-year old DSH male, Button. A little while ago, he started springing around the room in short bursts, and then furiously licking one of two places (either his right side near his ribcage, or to the left at his lower back). First we thought he had fleas of some kind, then we though he had injured himself, and now we're back to thinking he has fleas. He's really jumpy and on edge.
Our cats never go outside and don't come into contact with any other cats, so I'm hard pressed to figure out where fleas or another bug could have come from. Also, it's been unseasonably warm here the last few days (we're in San Francisco)...maybe that's causing it?
If anyone has any idea of what's going on, or has any suggestions of what we should do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help!
