Well, the IFA testing after the ELISA is the real issue. IFA is the real determinant for FeLV. And, unfortunately from what I know, vaccinations are not an absolute guarantee to prevent FeLV, but should help the other cats' resist it. Just check with the vet.

I wish the anti-nausea meds would help more. :(

She probably needs subcutaneous or iv meds. I've unfortunately had many cats with cancer, diabetes and medical issues that once they're chronically nauseous, giving pills or liquid syringes in the mouth make them worse and cause what's called stress drooling or straight out vomiting.

They just can't have anything forced into their mouth without reflex gagging.

My Inky could easily handle me giving him ten injections daily, subcutaneous or even intramuscular, no problem. He'd sit purring through it all, even at the end. But one syringe in his mouth and he'd be wretching and gagging and in a blood sugar crisis and taking him even five minutes in a car meant more vomiting which for him was life threatening.
My beautiful Lovey vomits from his meds too. But the vets don't care.
