Cat Paw Help

Wondering what you all think about this. It is causing discomfort and clearly coming off his paw. Is this natural? Should I help or let him deal with it? Thanks for any input.

I’m not sure what that is, but it’s not normal. It would be best if you can take him into the vet to get it checked out, especially if it’s causing him discomfort.

I just gave it a very gentle tug and it came off. Did not hurt the cat at all. He seems fine.
