My mom's cat Mookie is about 16, almost 17. Around10 months ago she was doing this thing where she kept squatting and then leave a little spot of blood on the carpet. She did this for a couple days, and kept licking around her tail. I remember googling this, and someone said that too much fish in a cat's diet can make them have a urinary tract infection and my mom had been feeding her fish wet food, and fish dried food. She took her off the fish and put her on chicken, and it seemed to stop. Just today she started doing it again, and I was just wondering if this another urinary tract thing (if that's what it originally was), or if it is something of more concern. I realize you guys aren't vets, and neither am, I but I still thought I should ask. I read on the internet it could be kidney cancer, but I mean I could have a sore neck and WebMD tell me it's a stroke so.... Let me know!
