I've had Orei for twelve years. I was twelve years old when my parents got him for me, and I just turned 24. Orei always had SOME issues of peeing outside of the litterbox since he was a young guy. He's 12 now and seems to be in good physical condition. But when I moved him with me to my boyfriend's house along with Princess (his spayed girlfriend), the peeing became out of control. He was peeing everywhere. I thought he might be stressed, but it got so bad that my boyfriend and his mother (who is in charge of the property but doesn't live there) demanded the cats leave. So I brought them back to my mom's. I am now "hot potatoing" back and forth between my mother's house and my boyfriend's every few days to care for my cats and to be where I feel is more my home. But Orei is peeing on all sorts of expensive things, he peed on some of my favorite belongings, and he even pooped around. None of the other cats are doing this. We have Princess, and my mom's new cat she got two years ago. She wants Orei gone.... I don't know what to do. He is too old, and he is bonded with me and really hates everyone else. He is a very fearful kitty, has been ever since he was a baby when I adopted him. No one else will adopt him I'm sure, and I don't want to put him through that. I care about him very much.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to make him stop destroying the house so he can stay? I've even tried locking him on one very large room and he always finds a way out...
