My cat Ripley appears to be healthy in every respect. He is active, playful, and loving. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, either. He eats well and seems fine. But once in a while, he will have these episodes. He gets kind of stiff and his pupils dilate. If he tries to walk, he staggers. Often, his front legs will kind of go up and down rhythmically at the same time.
They last anywhere from 30 seconds to 90 seconds. Afterwards, he is fine. It's like he doesn't even know they happened, kwim.
I have a vet appointment for the beginning of next week and am wondering what I can expect.
I have often found it is good to go in with some knowledge to any drs. including a vet's. So, any ideas what this could be.
I got him last June, but he didn't start exhibiting this strange behavior until recently. The first time or two, i thought it was a fluke. But as it is continuing, I am going to get it checked out. Could he just be prone to epilepsy or something like that? He doesn't appear to be in any pain or act strange at any other time.
