Hello!
My cat Ollie was recently diagnosed with FLUTD, struvite crystals, and cystitis. I spent around $3000 this month trying to keep him alive and get him on a good diet.
I've tried to feed him both the Hills and Royal Canin Urinary food, but he refuses to eat it. The only reason he ate it at the vets office is because they had him drugged up on Valium.
He really loved his dry food, but we've cut that out of his diet altogether. And he was eating Fancy Feast every morning for breakfast. Our vets never really explained what ingredients were in the prescription foods that are supposed to help Ollie, and looking at the ingredients on FF cans versus Canin or Hills, they dont seem much different to me.
When I put Fancy Feast in front of him, he eats it, but if I mix the FF with Canin or Hills, he walks away from his food immediately.
Any advice would be helpful, thank you!
