Any reasons why a young male cat might be aggressively licking a smell on a blanket. He’s practically almost choking on how much of the blanket he’s got in his mouth. And he’s sort of grunting at the scent too. He’s apparently got a weird “jack off” habit on blankets too. Wtf is wrong with this cat. This isn’t my cat. Just a friends that has weirdo behavior and wondering if these activities are fixable.

He probably was seperated from his mom too young or the separation was scary for him. He is mimicking a kitten suckling from mom. It's probably the texture of the blanket. Is it wool or microfiber? Cotton is less common. It's a feline kind of OCD.

I have a neutered three year old cat who likes to "have fun" with a scarf. Some cats are just perverts like that 😂 as long as it doesn't harm anyone or himself, you shouldn't worry about it.
