The vet talked about seeing a specialist for more tests
He has to go back next Thursday for a blood test to see if his wbc count has gone down

Sandy has been having repeated blood tests and the vets still have not got a answer for his red and white blood cell count for being high They told me two weeks ago to put his prednisolone up from half a tablet a day to one tablet a day now he has started to vomit and having diarrhea went to the vets yesterday waiting on another blood test they are saying to put the steroid back down to half a tablet he was OK when I took him to the vets since going he is feeling sick having diarrhea and won't eat do you think having one tablet a day was too much for him

Prednisone and prednisolone can be tricky to get the correct dosage on. I've had a few of mine on it in the past, and if the dosage was too high they were lethargic, laid around a lot, and didn't want to eat much.
It wouldn't affect his WBC count, but, has there been a change in the formula of the diet you're currently feeding him that could be tied into his upset stomach? Do they suspect infection anywhere?
I just now saw the photos you posted, what a beautiful cat. He certainly doesn't look 15!

Spoken to the vets this afternoon the blood test came back that his red and white blood cell count his still high his rbc count has gone up even more
The vet said they could do a biopsy on him but because of his age it would be risky
They have diagnosed him as having blood cancer
The vet said as long as he is keeping well in his self it could be months till we have to think of putting him to sleep
I have been in floods of tears the thought of losing him
He is a house cat so he has been by my side for nearly 16 years
He is a male cat and he is so gentle
He is my little baby
I will let you know how he is getting on in the coming weeks

MA LESTER MA LESTER I am so sorry to hear this news.
I would be hesitant to do a biopsy at his age, too. It would be very invasive and stressful for you both, and odds are it wouldn't change any treatment the vet suggests.
I had one with a rare cancer, and it helped me to keep a small diary detailing how much he ate, how he acted, as well as any extra cute or sweet things he did so I could measure how he was doing over the span of time. With any luck, your little guy will be with you for a long while still. :hugs:
