My sister's cats don't like to wear collars. I was wondering if most cats prefer to go without collars. In some cases, if cats are allowed outdoors, collars can be dangerous as they can snag on things.

My cats wear breakaway collars so if they do get caught on anything the collar comes off.Originally Posted by bemyonlyone

Let me give you my grandmother's thoughts. She used to say that "if God had wanted cats to wear collars they would have been born with one". (BTW, my cats never go outside and are microchipped.)

check out http://www.ragtimepetcollars.com/intro.html these are 100% cotton so your cats are not likely to have any sort of reaction. they are also breakaway so if they get caught on branches etc they come off.Originally Posted by mooficat
All my kits are indoor/outdoor kits, none wear collars for a couple of reasons, getting caught on branches etc, also two of them had a bad reaction, Dino even lost all the hair around the area of the collar
So anyways they are all micro-chipped, except my newbiehe´s only been with us ....well 5 days
