I have a three year old short-haired female whom I adopted from a local shelter when she was a couple of months old. She came dewormed and with some vaccinations and she hasn't had any shots since. Ever since day one I noticed she always seemed a little bloated and I took her to my vet who said she didn't think it was anything to be concerned about. My vet is great but to this day I still see her round bloated belly so I tried putting her on a high quality grain-free food which I think may have helped somewhat. She's also been quite the lil' puker. Most times it looks to be hairballs but other times it's bile and or food. We also started brushing her regularly and this may have helped slightly too. Last night she vomited and I've never seen puke like this one. It was probably 6 inches long, skinny and almost looked like stool. It looked like pated food/kibble and no hair. My first thought is that it looked like intestines to be honest... I know it wasn't but just to give you a lovely image. I made an appointment to see my vet again but I'm wondering if this is something to be concerned about? I've done research and see puking in cats is quite common... Any input is much appreciated.
