I'm grateful a little Lelia walked into a trap, and then didn't impress anyone at adoption events before I brought her home.

I love my girl. She's so clever, and curious, and playful. I love when she headbutts me to let me know it's playtime. I love that she'll snuggle on my legs at night even if she won't sit on my lap during the day.

She's gentle with me, never biting or scratching on purpose. She's a brat, bur she's also my girl and I love her.

Sparkle. The Farful. When I saw how my fiancé loves her I fell for him more. Unlike Lelia, she's not too smart (I'm amused at how she thinks scratching the lid of the litterbox will cover her poop), but she has a heart of gold. She makes the best expressions and makes me laugh.

Lelia pounced on Sparkle this morning. Lol, usually it's the other way around. They're not great friends and don't do cute things like groom each other, but I'm so glad they're able to tolerate each other, because neither of us would have given our cat up!
Good people. :yess: *Sometimes cold weather brings cats together when they wouldn't otherwise seek each other out.*

I'm so grateful for the day I met Nando and decided to take her home, and needed somewhere to express it - and I'm sure a lot of you guys feel the same about your cats, so this thread is the place to do it! :cheerleader:

Since rescuing Nando, there have been times when I thought she was simply an aloof cat, and although she loved a little bit of attention she would prefer to spend the majority of her time alone. Recently, Nando has been running to the door when I come home, standing on her back legs when i bend down to kiss her so she can rub her cheeks all over my face, following me every where and purring non stop. I'm so happy that we have developed the bond we now have, which continues to grow every day; she truly is my best friend.
I always wonder about her previous life, and I hope she doesn't miss it, or her previous friends and family too much, and is happier here then she ever was there so that she never feels like anything is missing.

I'm so happy that I saw Luna on the adoptapet.com I put a search for a Persian cat and waited 7-8 months before she came up in my email. She follows me around like a puppy, and is athletic. She is affectionate, and sleeps on me every night. Some times we go for walks in her harness. I have bought cat tree's, litter box cabinet, ripplerug.com, onefastcat.com, experimented with tear staining, cured her conjunctivitis from the shelter, healed her spay'd incision, learned to groom a Persian cat, and invested in behavioral solutions for her and the other cat Sassy (black).
I even tried raw food, and got everyone including myself sick!
Now they eat wet and dry food from the commercial The Taste of the Wild. They had a litter robot litter box that stank up to high heaven that I had to return. Now I have pine pellets over a Breeze litter box system that seems to work well with puppy pads. I bought the outside cats a kittytube so they may stay warm during the winter. While they are inside, they have K&H warm pads to lay on, and a 10ft cat tree to sun themselves on.
It it weren't for these cats, I'm not sure I would be able to get through this tough time in my life. I love to give them cat nip and play with their favorite ribbon when running it across the carpet.
There is a pet gate for Sassy as she is having accidents in the carpet, or maybe adding to her scent; if I missed a spot where another animal peed. I'm not sure. These girls fight. They just ate some fresh baked chicken from the oven, and are napping as the snow comes down around the house. I continue to monitor Sassy for aggression and avoidance. And try different oils to keep peace in the home. I give them mineral oil also with a monthly dose of revolution just in case. Each of them has been to the vet at least 6 times for random things.
What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

I am grateful that my sons never gave up on asking for a cat.

I am sorta grateful that Raja developed pneumonia because her previous adopter returned her to the shelter because of it. Without that happening, she would have never been ours.

I am grateful that Mizu decided to take a nap next to me on our first visit ensuring that I would pay attention to her and look for her on every future visit.

I am grateful that they really are the easiest babies in the world and put all of my fears as a first time cat owner to rest so quickly.

I am grateful for their different, distinct but equally wonderful personalities. Mizu, my shadow, my constant companion and playmate who cracks everyone up. Raja, my cuddlebug, my greeter cat who is friendly to everyone.

Raja's Gotcha day was on the 9th and Mizu's is the 13th. No better time for an appreciation thread.

What a beautiful photo - it seems like destiny that you all found each other; so many little things happened to make sure that you took Raja and Mizu home with you :hugs:
