We're going to need to take our cats on an airplane in about two weeks. A while back we purchased a Sherpa Original Deluxe carrier in the large size, since one of our cats is big (only 14lbs, but long). I'd thought it was the required size for most airlines, but now that I look closely it seems that only the small and medium sizes are approved as carry-on (and even then it's airline dependent).
