If you are talking about a monthly winner, only one is chosen from the winner pile. If there is a tie between captions, Deb posts a run-off

I have had a tie among several options in a tiebreaker before. So I run another poll. Have never had a tie when it's just 2 options, though. I usually hold my vote until the end, so I could always break a tie, though.
