Does anybody here have experience with using alkaline foods to try to adjust the body's pH to fight diseases?
Some people (research scientists and doctors) believe that cancer cells thrive in acidic conditions. They believe that eating alkaline foods helps the body to change from being acidic to more alkaline, and the cancer cells cannot thrive in those conditions.
Other people say there is no proof that cancer cells thrive in acidic conditions in the body just because they do in the lab. Also, that the body adjusts its own pH and you can't change it through food.
It seems to me that eating more alkaline foods, or vegan foods, is healthful and will help our bodies function better. But if eating alkaline foods keeps cancer at bay, why aren't we hearing more about it? Are there vegans with cancer?
Any ideas or experiences on this are appreciated.
