This is a line from an Australian RSPCA website:

"Raw food offered to cats should always be fresh. Avoid feeding too much raw meat until the kitten is 20 weeks of age (unless the meat is on the bone e.g. raw chicken wing.) This is important to help avoid certain nutritional deficiencies during growth."

Here is a link to the web page:http://kb.rspca.org.au/What-should-I-feed-my-kitten_267.html

Is this statement true?

Reading the full article, I think the concern is nutritional completeness and balance. Growing kittens do have more stringent nutritional needs. For example, they must get enough calcium. This thread is illustrative of a case of feeding ONLY meat without a calcium source. http://www.thecatsite.com/t/259623/2-months-old-eating-only-meat

They also need the nutrients and minerals from organs and can handle a higher percentage of fat and calories than adult cats as they are still growing. As long as you feed a balanced and nutritionally complete raw diet per the guidelines outlined here: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/264154/raw-feeding-resources, your kitten(s) should be fine.
