Can i use wood powder(general wood reduced to fine powder) as my kittens litter?

I don't think so. Some wood resins can be harmful to cats. Plus, the dust is going to be terrible probably. It will not clump and probably create a big mess.

I tried something similar and it did not work out well. The wood dust did not clump, the box smelled horribly like pee and the bits got everywhere. The dust didn't absorb, it just got soggy and gross. My cats were not impressed.

My idea came after I used Feline Pine clumping. I figured it was basically pine sawdust, so I went to Home Depot and asked if I could have the contents of the sawdust catcher underneath where they trim wood. They thought I was a weirdo, but gave me the sawdust. It was very, very messy and I would not try it again.

Ohh!! Sad for you but the stuff I have is not really fine powder but has some chunks of,small wood as well. will it work out?
