I just caught sight of my 1.5-yr-old cat's lower gums in good light today, and saw that he has what looks like a swollen bump on either side of the lower jaw, behind his canines. Is this part of usual cat anatomy? Or is this something to be concerned about? I can't seem to find the right diagram/photo for this online.
We went for his annual check up just 2 weeks ago and she didn't say anything was wrong with his mouth. I've just checked his brother, who's a much bigger boy, and he has much smaller bumps there too, though they are there.
I've only been able to get a blurry shot of one side since I can't get him to sit still, but I got a few clearer ones of the other side. (Note that he has quite a bit of black lentigo in his gum area.)
Thank you in advance for your input!
