I didn't know that it was possible for a cat to bruise it's claws.
Hubby put Darcy in her crate while the flea spray on the carpet was drying (this was Thursday). Darcy hates being enclosed so if he were to simply have shut her in the utility room, she would scratch the door - or worse (we have found her tangled up in the blinds on top of the window trying to get out). So I asked that she be put in her little crate so she wouldn't damage the doors or walls or blinds. She spent the whole hour digging at her crate. Well, I went to trim her claws today and they are all brown and purple and red...like bruises. Her back claws look normal.
Anyone else with this experience?
