Brown Spots Under My Cat's Eyes

Has anyone seen this with their white cats before? He is 4 years old. Has always had tears in his eyes when he is tired. He developed this brown spot last week. Had tears in the eye when I was it.

Is it a tear duct stain, or something else?

I've always had flat faced cats and they always had tear stains like that. Try to clean it with a wet cotton disc. The best strategy to avoid stains is to wipe their eyes very often: if you see a tear coming down, wipe it.

Hi. He's very handsome!!! And, the tear stains are not really too bad! In addition to what Noirele has suggested, you can use sterile gauze pads and a eye solutions that are specially formulated for cats. Or, try some pet tear stain remover or sterile saline eye wipes. The solutions or tear stain removers can be found at some pet stores, but also on a number of on line sites.
