They all look so happy! Often a cat who did not have a home will decide that they definitely want to live like the other half did and enjoy all the comforts inside.
I found a video on my phone of my mom feeding the stray cats on her back porch. The video is from 2015 & shows Bucky sneaking up onto the porch. We didn’t even notice him for quite a while. We just kept seeing him in the background of all our pictures.
All the cats seem to have adjusted to being inside now. The first night I brought them in, I was terrified. They cried so much. The positive was whenever I sat in the floor with them, they purred.
I’m going to post about this one in another forum. Mom just called her “Long Tail”. We’d always talked of giving her a new name but with mom gone, I’m sticking with Long Tail. Her father was a neighbors cat. Huge cat named Bear & the kittens were all really big. Long tail is over 20 lbs. I’d like to get her weight down. At the moment though, she’s happy. (Excuse the piece of tissue. Bucky has discovered tissues and enjoys shredding them.)
Well a little over 1 year later & the stray cats I rescued are doing great. I’m amazed at how well they get along with Lena, my one house cat. I worried that they would never get used to being inside. My mom would be very happy to see this. (Lena is the Tabby).
