Hello everyone!  So we have a 12 yr old lab mix (Raven) and a 4.5 yr old DSH (Diesel).  We are going to visit with a 6 month old DSH (Nick) tomorrow in hopes of bringing him home with us.  We decided we wanted to get another cat to be with Diesel since Raven is getting up in age and yes, she is healthy, but something could happen to her and we dont want Diesel to be alone.  The foster mom said that Nick is a very good cat and is used to being around 12 other cats and a small dog.  We have never had more than one cat and Diesel is actually our first cat.  Raven and Diesel get along well and always have since I brought Diesel home.  Our biggest concern is that Diesel and Nick will not get along.  Does anyone have some good introduction techniques?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

I think if you take it slow and easy and let the resident animals determine the introduction pace, you'll be fine.
