Indie is about seven months old. I’ve not had a cat with this shape head before. Are there breeds that tend to have this shape?

What specifically are you seeing in his head shape that looks unusual to you?

I’m not sure if I can explain it. It looks rounder I guess with fuller cheeks. If you look at my avatar picture most of my prior cats had more of that shaped head.

Most of your cats have had a longer, more wedge shaped head? I think both head shapes are well within normal range for domestic cats.

If you want to call Indie a lookalike of some breed, you could say that she looks a little like a Bombay. That breed has a sleek glossy black coat, gold eyes, and a short face (normally quite a lot shorter than Indie's). It's almost certain that Indie isn't actually related to that breed, but her color makes her appear somewhat similar.

Ok thanks. I’m not looking for her to be anything other than DSH! I know that’s what she is and that’s perfectly OK.
