Generally on a lilac if the point colour is correct, points are a warmer greyish tone and blue is a cooler grey tone.
You can't really tell from the nose! Ideally lilac points are supposed to have a more lavender pink nose. but in reality lots of them have darker noses than that. and I don't just mean in "pet quality" . You can find lilac point CFA Grand Champions with the darker noses. The paw pads are much more telling. but it can take a while to be sure.

Breeders can often tell by how soon the kittens start getting the point colours. Seals and blues almost always have the edges of their ears start to darken first. Chocolates and lilacs are later , with lilacs usually last since they have a sort of double dilution.
Kittens that seem at first like lilacs can also turn out to be slower developing chocolate points.

One thing with lilacs & chocs is body color tends to stay light as they get older. but chocolate point becomes more a cream color. Lilac pt body is supposed to be "glacial white" according to CFA, or TICA calls it "magnolia white". (LOL don't you love the color terms in breed standards ?)

Have fun with your adorable little pair .... much meezer mischief awaits you!
