I got this kitten yesterday. "It" is 7 weeks old. The owner said that the kitten is a boy but my sister says girl. Can anyone help?!
Way more than 90%! If 10% of torties were boys, you'd definitely meet a few of them. About 1 in 3000 torties are male. Also 90 percent of torties are girls you probably will never see a male tortie
I think you have it backwards. Almost all torties/calicos are girls. Only 1 in 3000 are boys. Tortie is (IME) the most common color/pattern for female cats. Maybe brown tabbies are more common but I think I see more torties.I think the fact that so few cats of the calico or tortie cats are girls makes them so desirable. But don't ask Izzy since she was in the shelter for 11 months and 22 days. She was about 3 1/2 when I adopted her.
