We adopted two kittens, a brother and sister from the same litter. The sister is fairly independent and does her own thing while the brother likes to be up in my face, literally all the time. He tries to suckle on my earlobes (which is difficult because I have gauges) and tries to nip at the tip of my nose and my jaw. He's not trying to be aggressive, just little love bites but they hurt ever since he got most of his adult teeth in. Are boy kitties more prone to this or is it just mine?

Now that I think about it, I've only ever had male rescues that like to suckle. The ones that were removed from their mothers too early would all suckle on earlobes, fingertips, or even soft blankets well into old age. Interesting!

My female kitten (7 months old) often sucks on her own arm! I do think it's when they weren't with their mama long enough.
