Hi All,
Has anyone heard of or tried Bonjella for cats with sore gums?
Some of my cats have sore, inflammed gums, and whilst the Vet is organizing the special anti-inflamatory cream and medicines for them, she has recommended that I use Bonjella cream.
She said, that although it's not prescribed for cats, that it doesn't harm them. She said, that they don't like the smell or the taste but if you're game enough to try putting it on their gums, that it can really help with the soreness in the interim.
I tried this tonight, and I felt so mean with the reactions it got. My cats really, really did NOT like it. But, if it helps with the soreness (and we all know how cats are good at hiding discomfort) and encourages them to eat and drink more, then, it's a needed evil.
Has anyone ever heard of this or used it? I wouldn't be doing it if the Vet hadn't recommended it.
