For the second time in 3 months, I've noticed red in a pool of my cat's liquid stool.
She's had problems with pooing on stuff for about 2½ years now. It started at my parent's place and I found out it was her when I caught her in the act of crapping on my bed(while I was right by!!!). I moved her to her litter box and she did her deed there. I thought it was stress because of the other (crazy) cat but it continued after I moved out alone(even though her general mood seems to have gotten better). She also sometimes had liquid stools that she doesn't cover and RUNS away from.
I went to see the vet, changed foods, found no worms or parasites, tried changing intestinal flora through a med. I think some of the problem may be behavioural since she often does them right after I get home or craps on the same spots if I'm gone for long. They gave me some meds last month but could not give them all to her and had no more money to buy some. Also tried changing food(hypoallergenic) but she would barely eat the new one.
I also have another problem now. I've just moved in with a roommate and apparently, it really smells a lot like cat poo everywhere in the apartment. She only did it outside the litterbox twice and it was cleaned properly while the litter boxes are scooped every 1-2 days.
The previous vets were nice and all but it's pretty far from where I live right now (45 minutes metro ride). So I'm wondering if maybe I should switch to another one. Maybe they could see something that the previous did not?
