I have a cat who is a year and a half years old (Toby) and a kitten is just four months old (Silver). They've recently been introduced (about 2 weeks ago) and have been getting along fine. They have separate food/water dishes and each have their own territory of the house, but usually when they encounter each other they play or simply go along with their day.
Today they had a little spat over the food bowl when Toby tried to eat from Silver's dish. It wasn't too serious--neither of them ended up visibly hurt and I broke it up right away. Toby hid in the litter box for a few hours and Silver hopped up into the top of my closet. While I was in the living room I heard a loud crash from my room and when I came to check what it was, everything from the top of my closet had fallen and Silver was on the floor... seemingly alright. When I picked her up she purred as usual, but then retreated to the closet floor for some time.
I checked on her about an hour later and I noticed she was acting strange. She is usually very active and playful, and when I pick her up she'll squirm to get down. She's been really lethargic since, and won't even move when I set her down. Not even to rearrange herself. I also noticed she is really bloated. I think it might be because Toby hid in the litter box so she had been afraid to use it, but when I shoo'd him out she still won't use it. She also hasn't eaten or drank anything since this happened.. and it's been about six hours.
Other than that she seems fine. There are no scratches, her breathing is normal, and she isn't vomitting. I just have no idea what it could be.
My thought is she might have fallen from the top of the closet, but in that case why would she be bloated? Any ideas would be much appreciated.
