my 4 year old healthy siamese went in for a tooth scaling and dental extraction and suffered from cardiac arrest at the end of her surgery. she was revived and critical for 12 hours but thankfully survived. however, she has completely lost vision in both eyes as a result of brain damage (clot or oedema) - we saw an opthamologist who confirmed that her retinas are fine. the vet has no idea why this happened (says if it was the anasthetic the adverse reaction wouldn't have presented itself at the end of the surgery). does anyone have any experience with this? how can this happen? and how can i help her? any chance of it being reversible?
