Hello. My 13 year old cat has been diagnosed as being blind. She stopped going in her litter box. Not sure if this is physical as well as behavioral. We moved a year ago and had two major renovations done right by her litter box. She seems fine otherwise. Great appetite too. Took her to a neurologist who wants to do an MRI but I don't have the money for that. Any ideas how to retrain her to use her box would be greatly appreciated. Ive tried cat nip, litter attractant, placing her in the cat box, putting a piece of pee soaked puppy pad in her box, and nothing has worked.

Where is she going? If anywhere that is at all consistently, put a box there.
She may dislike the current location, I don't know.

The only thing I can think of would be to try and contain her in a room/small area with low sided litter boxes, until she gets back in the habit.
Are you using an enzymatic cleaner? That will help eliminate the smells which could be confusing her. There's one called the Equalizer which works, and doesn't require soaking the area.
