OMG House centipedes are DISGUSTING! I get them here.. I see one about every couple of weeks or soOriginally Posted by Zissou'sMom
Knowing Zissou's propensity to play with bugs--- that poor black widow would've been a goner. Non-poisonous bugs (except house centipedes ewwwwwwwwwwww) are left alone, but I'm not taking a chance on a black widow Eek!
Well, here's to you keeping that spidey outside where she belongs!
I think shes pretty! I dont mind spiders as long as they dont get on me. Even then I just put them in a cup and take them outside. Im not scared of spiders but I flipped out over a moth.Originally Posted by sarahp
She'd be dead at our house as well. I don't mind non-poisonous spiders, they can hang around, I don't even bother relocating them. Poisonous ones though - I always squish.
We often got redback spiders (which are from the same family as black widows) back home in Brisbane, and they'd be all over the place. I always killed them otherwise they'd just keep on breeding. YUCKO!!!!
Look at it!! EWWW!!!
This reminds of of something. While I am here being all holier-than-thou about spiders, I had a very deep fear of moths as a child. I still don't know why. It started when we lived in Huron, South Dakota. We called moths "millers" for some reason. I remember being terrified of them in the stairwell. Never had nightmares but I was always on the lookout to avoid them. I overcame it, probably by realizing they are butterfly cousins or something. Even today, in certain moments if I see one I shiver for a second. Weird!Originally Posted by Fostermomm

Pretty?!?!! Ewww!!! These things get to be huge and can cause some serious damage - particularly to pets, small children and the elderly. They are aggressive and will strike out if you accidentally put your finger too close to them (say picking up a chair and put your fingers under the chair to lift it, and happen to poke near one).Originally Posted by Fostermomm
