Patrick Roy (pronouced Wah), the goalie for the Colorado Avalanche, announced his retirement today.
Roy holds EVERY records he possibly can as an NHL goalie. The only thing he didn't ever do is score a goal. He helped his teams to 4 Stanley Cups, and won the Conn Smythe (the MVP for the Cup) a record 3 times.
Roy has earned his place in history, and he will be sorely missed in Denver and in the NHL as a whole. Good luck in the future Patty!
